June 16, 2008 - Morrisville, NC - Healthcare information and imaging systems vendor Empiric Systems announces the release of Encompass.NET 5.0, the company’s latest, web-based, fully integrated, single database, RIS/PACS/Billing system. Changes from the previous release include an entirely re-engineered GUI, "profile-based" advanced scheduling, embedded instant messaging, patient self-registration, “draw-able forms and sheets”, radiologist-designed web viewer/workflow, Referrer Interpretation request portal and EasyLink Digital Fax Service integration. “Encompass.NET 5.0 represents a milestone in product development for Empiric. Over the last 5 years, we have concentrated on adding all of the major functional modules needed for a truly complete, integrated RIS/PACS/Billing system. With all these modules now in place, we had the opportunity to concentrate on many of the finer workflow needs and wants. This new focus ultimately resulted in an entirely new GUI design done in consultation with a firm specializing in ergonomic software design. February 15, 2008 - Morrisville, NC - Healthcare information and imaging systems vendor Empiric Systems continues to expand their presence in the New York State hospital market. Empiric has received a contract for its Encompass.NET RIS solution from Wyoming County Community Health System, located in Warsaw, NY.
